Supply List for Quilt Your Surroundings with Repurposed Materials:

    • 2 yds. neutral color duck cloth (canvas)
    • 4 yds. regular weight Wonder Under or other fusible web
    • Fabric:
      • A bin of scraps, tiny fabric pieces, cut off edges of other project
      • anything that can be stitched down
      • 5—7 fat quarters of fabric in the color scheme of your photo—include light, dark, medium & one zinger
      • Try to coordinate the color choices—don’t bring the entire color wheel—bring fabric that works well together
      • Any fabric that you would like to use
    • Interesting textural things that can be stitched down that is in the family of colors you are choosing; for example:
      • Handmade paper
      • Coffee huggers (like at Starbucks to keep your hand from burning)
      • Packaging materials that can be sewn down
      • Cheesecloth, upholstery samples, edges from other projects, painted canvas that you want to cut up
    • A few color photos of landscapes that inspire you (or any photo that you love); abstracts are OK
    • A sewing machine in good working order; a walking foot is necessary
    • Thread
    • Basic sewing supplies—straight pins, needles…
    • Cutting board, rotary cutter, wide ruler
    • Paper & cloth scissors
    • Note-taking materials
